It usually has a negative meaning like "poser" or "oh" that dirty hipster" or "man look at that hipster fuck" In the eyes of the NORMS (people that don't quite look or fit into the category of a hipster) tend to judge "these people" with disgust and confusion. This term derived from the late 1950's when people became associated with a certain artistic culture. This culture consited of MUSIC, ARTS, and FASHION. The suave style soon turned to riduculous image. Everyone developed this once cool look into a mockery of fashion. Many of these infestuous beings do not actually play music, or even have an artistic bone in their skinny weak body. They usually have a low self esteem and have this bullshit "I am too good for you" attitude. This derives from the lack of self esteem. They would be considered as POSERS.
